The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme for Great Britain administered by Ofgem.
ECO4 is a four-year scheme that tends to run from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2026. The scheme requires energy suppliers to improve homes’ Energy performance certificate (EPC) for those vulnerable and low-income (of £31,000) households.
ECO4 grant funding is a government fully funded scheme provided for homeowners, private renters, social housing occupier who wish to install energy saving measures. The main purpose of the grant is to help people reduce their energy consumption bill by saving money on their energy bill and making their homes warm.
The Grant funding means you don’t need to refund the money for insulating your home if you are eligible.
To qualify for the ECO4 Grant, your property EPC rating must be E, F or G and have the listed benefit;
1) Income based Jobseekers Allowance (JSA),
2) Income related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA),
3) Income Support (IS),
4) Pension Credit Guarantee Credit (PCGC),
5) Working Tax Credit (WTC),
6) Child Tax Credit (CTC),
7) Universal Credit (UC),
8) Housing Benefit,
9) Pension Credit Savings Credit (PCSC),
10) Child Benefit, (within the income cap)
